What does Apila actually do?
Client-side construction project management. Apila runs the project on the client's behalf, coordinating consultants and contractors, controlling programme and risk, and reporting decisions clearly.

Johnny Clover. The senior lead who wins your work is the senior lead who delivers it, from day one to completion.
Which sectors does Apila work in?
Residential development, further and higher education, mixed-use and commercial schemes, and logistics and light industrial projects.
At what stage should I bring Apila in?
Ideally at the earliest stage, so the route through the project is mapped before problems become expensive. Apila also takes on live projects that need clearer control.
How is reporting handled?
Concise reporting built around executive summary, current status, risks and issues, decisions required and next actions, so the next decision is always clear.

How are Apila's fees structured?
Fees are agreed at appointment, shaped to the scheme's size and duration, so you know the commitment before work starts. The guiding principle is value added rather than hours logged: the role exists to save you more than it costs, in decisions, in risk avoided and in programme protected.
Where does Apila work?
Apila works across the UK. Project management is delivered wherever the scheme is, with reporting and governance running consistently whether the project is local or several hours away.
Can Apila take over a project that is already underway?
Yes. The first step is a review of the programme, cost position, risk register and outstanding decisions. From there Apila resets the plan, re-establishes the reporting rhythm and gets decisions flowing again. Clients usually feel the difference within the first reporting cycle.
What does "We manage it, you govern it" mean in practice?
Apila runs the project: programme, consultants, risk and reporting. You keep the authority: every reporting cycle ends with a Decisions Required section that puts the choices, the context and a clear recommendation in front of you. You stay in control without managing the detail.
